2. I have been thinking about this for too long. (Whatever too long might be for you)

Well in this instance you are pretty much screwed. I think it is safe to say that there is a very high chance that you will end up having sex with someone outside your marriage.

However, if this is just a passing thought and you consider yourself to be an honest and trusting person then don’t worry about it too much as you will probably not cheat.

If you are trying to convince yourself not to have an affair here are a few techniques that might be able to help you resist.

1. Take a moment, next time you are with your wife to visualize having to tell her that you have slept with another person. Actually, imagine what it would be like to sit there and break the news to her. You might find that it absolutely breaks her heart. This feeling will be emotionally crushing for you as well as her.
2. Imagine what it would be like having to tell your children that you have had an affair and that you and your wife are separating.
3. Think about actually going through a separation. There are many women out there who want to have sex with you because you are married but if you are separated from your wife then you will not be married any more. This means that all those women that found you attractive a couple of months ago will find you less attractive once you are alone. Could you deal with this?
Remember in life that everyone, including you, wants something that they can’t have. It is always important to think that this woman that you want to have sex with now will seem a lot less interesting when you have shagged her for the first time and know that you can do it again some time.
